Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival

30 April to 4 May

Kicking off the whisky month of festivities is one of Scotland’s most established events.  The programme includes whisky masterclasses, ceilidhs, musical entertainment and food.

9 May

This is the second time that the Stirling fest will take place. The organisers invite the great and good from the whisky industry in Scotland to Stirling, in the heart of Scotland, to exhibit and share their whiskies for whisky lovers to enjoy.

Create:Eat:Whisky,  Edinburgh

14-17 May

Jelly & Gin has teamed with Haig Club – the whisky launched in 2014 by David Beckham – to create an event that focuses on whisky cocktails. Using sound, light, small edible items, aroma and other environmental factors, guests will be transported from mountaintop to roaring fire, with an unexpected final destination.

The Hive and the Still, Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh

15 May

An event that partners botany and whisky, and adds lashings of street food, science lessons and live music.

Whisky Stramash, Edinburgh

Mhor Festival, Perthshire

23-24 May

Food, drink, music and theatre are brought together with producers, including Glengoyne, Deanston and Auchentoshan distilleries in the grounds of Monachyle Mhor Hotel.

Visitors can also expect, among other delights, foraging walks along the Rob Roy Way, lunch in Mhor Barn with whisky sampling and a whisky pairing evening at the Great Scottish Feast with food prepared by top chefs.

The festival also offers family activities, live music, a ceilidh, a bake-off competition, a raft race and a market.

Islay Malt and Music Festival, Islay

22-30 May

You can enjoy a diverse programme featuring traditional music, ceilidhs, Gaelic lessons, golf, bowling and whisky tasting. All of the Islay distilleries have open days throughout the week of the festival.
