Q: Do we need to stay at campsites?

A: No. In Scotland you can park in many places overnight unless there are specific notices prohibiting you stopping. However we do recommend that you plan to visit some campsites at least a few times during your rental for emptying of chemical toilet etc. If you don’t want to stay in campsites then we recommend that you download and read the wild camping guidelines document. Generally speaking, common sense prevails when stopping in a non designated campsite.

Q: How long will the 12V, leisure battery last if we are not on a campsite?

A: The 12V battery should last for a minimum of 12 – 16 hrs if you do not have access to mains electricity. This battery is also recharged when the vehicle engine is in use.
